Old Church Steeple

Dear Diary,

I have a bit of a thing for old churches and this one is not too far from me but I've never photographed it.   Built in 1870 to a design by Francis H. Fassett, it is a remarkably sophisticated example of Italianate and Gothic Revival architecture for a comparatively rural setting.  He was a rather famous Maine architect whose work is very prevalent in Portland.  The Star of David stained glass window may surprise some, but I've seen it in a few Protestant churches; a nod to Christianity's roots in Judaism.
