Constantine Augustus

Declared an emperor by the Roman army in York in AD 306 Constantine Augustus  served as the Roman Emperor until his death in AD 337 and was the first emperor to convert to Christianity.  As Emperor he created the gold standard and in his lifetime fought in countless battles against the warring factions in Europe.  This statue stands outside York Minster.
I got the picture just before the clouds rolled in!
