Our Homestay in Kerala

Homestays are well named; last night the daughter of our host family, Shalom, came home from University for the weekend and it was like welcoming a niece. The beach house is quirky and full of character and life.

This morning a kingfisher struggled with a large fish a few feet from our balcony, and the hammocks are slung between coconut palms, waiting for our siesta.
