Day 1: déjà vu

Child 1 exhibited one of the Covid-19 systems, so we are back in self-isolation. We registered for a test yesterday which promptly arrived today. We jokingly speculated whether it would be delivered by uber oder deliveroo. We weren't far away, amazon delivered it. I suppose it is not surprising given they are logistics experts. It is somewhat galling though, trying our very hardest to avoid using them mostly due to the way they treat their workforce and then our government is using them. We did get the test kit quickly and posted it promptly. So let's see how long it takes to get the results back. Hopefully they will be negative and we can mostly resume the new normal. Mostly? Rowan was sent home to self-isolate due to colleague with positive Covid-19 test. So she will be working from home for the next 14 days. 

Having said all that, I am so grateful that we both can work from home, that we get paid, that there is enough space for all four of us to work and that we all get on with each other. The rest is, so far, a minor inconvenience on the scale of things. Hopefully it will remain like that.
