A toe in the water

This delightful small lake is one where I know that two Lakeland lady blippers regularly take early morning swims. The water temperature at the moment is about 11C

It is a lovely place with a footpath right round it. I suppose it is similar in some ways to the more famous Tarn Hows. But there you will almost always find lots of people whereas at this one you can often have it just for yourself.

Mrs.K. is no stranger to wild swimming. She has swum in the Pacific in California and in New Zealand, has broken the ice in a lake in northern Ontario and had a moonlight swim in Coniston Water. I think she may be back at this one next summer with her costume.
