Day 3/14

After watching GBBO and #browniegate ( you can’t call yourself a baker if you can’t make a good brownie was the gist of Mr Hollywood’s derision), I commented that I don’t ever think I’d made brownies before. I haven’t got a particularly sweet tooth and they seem very indulgent. Plus with a coeliac son, I’m never convinced GF would taste the same. However the partner loves a sweet bite and so today I decided to make brownies to see how difficult they really are. The edges cooked quicker and are quite “cakey” but the majority centre has the ooze so are pronounced a success. I’d probably eat mine as a dessert with ice cream rather than as a snack- too rich!
