The swamp

After the heavy rain, our allotment has become a swamp. We have started to prepare it for the winter, but it was almost impossible to walk and I even fell down. That’s the second time in two days, by the way. Yesterday I fell down too, while out with Nigel and LDC.

Another important thing is that we have started  teaching Nigel recall. Yesterday, his first day without a lead, not only did he hoover all the rabbits’ poo of the field near home, but he also feasted on some horses one! Today, our cunning plan was to keep him in a fenced area, but he found the only hole in the fence and it took us about 15 minutes to get him again. Being a hunting dog, he can decide to be absolutely deaf at times!
