Policing our shores

A trip to Saltburn-By-The-Sea. We had planned on walking the coastal path but decided against it on arrival. The forecast indicated showers so decided a walk on the beach was a better option. The dog restrictions ended at the end of September and lots of dog walkers were taking advantage of a low tide.

We stopped off for a coffee before starting the walk. Big waves were breaking on the beach as the tide started to turn and come in. As we returned to the pier this lady police officer was cantering towards us. Never seen a police horse in full uniform or indeed patrolling a beach. 

The extras show some of the things that caught my eye. A really enjoyable trip to the coast.
