So, So Good

The service for Grace was lovely, and the sun shone all day long. This is the entrance to our church, with the autumn flowers and a basket of paper for folk to write messages to Julia and Tom.

Donald, our minister, was an absolute star, totally acknowledging the pain of it all - we live in a broken world, but God's grace is sufficient, not for overflowing joy, but enough to get through, and stay standing.

Here are two of the songs Julia and Tom chose; Mim sang the first one, absolutely beautifully: ... all my life you have been so, so good...

In extra, Julia and Tom, with Zion and Allegra, lighting the first candles for the wave of light to remember all the babies who have died.

Gratefuls:
- all the people who helped: Beth doing the drinks, Lisa doing the bacon and sausage sandwiches, Hélène making matilda cake, Vanessa the flowers, Ian the sound, and Deb organising the whole thing
- Tom's family coming, even from London, in time for the 9am crematorium bit (which was the hardest bit)
- going for a Nature walk with the kids after school, missing Dada

An extra grateful - Hélène also making us a superb dinner, Beef Bourguignon with extra veggies, and two pavlovashuge thanks, Friend!
