Race day

Kate’s first race today with the Friday sailors. For the race we were handicapped at the same rating as a GP 14 which is the same length, has a similar sail area and weight. We kept in front of a Wayfarer and passed a couple of Lasers on the water which showed we could keep up with the fleet. The OOD reckoned we came fourth out of 9, not too shabby at all.
As an aside today was the birthday of my mother who was the original Kate.
