Whitetail

I was appalled to find this spider in the wheelbarrow that I brought the firewood in. Fortunately I discovered it before carrying the wood inside. This spider is about 16 to 18 mm long and has a painful bite. They are very rare here.

My daughter, FirehorseMia, is staying with us. Today we went to the Darfield Artweek exhibition. There were 351 artworks on show, which was a bit overwhelming. Some were very good. One thing that was obvious to me was the large number of intricate works. Ones that would have taken many hours of fine, close work to execute. Possibly a result of the lockdown.
