Treasure Chambers

Few things give me as much pleasure as words.  I'm no poet and if you've been reading here for any length of time you'll know I'm no wordsmith either.  But still.

I bought myself a new Dictionary ("ein neues Wörterbuch" if you would like the German) because... well, just because I can.  My older Chambers is now about 26 years old and still smells vaguely of the time when I used to smoke.  This copy is all smooth pages and that lovely new book smell.  I could quite happily sit down and just browse.   And very probably will.

Now.  Time for a cryptic crossword and some serious word-play for an hour or so.
