Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Autumn

"I trust in nature for the stable laws of beauty and utility. Spring shall plant and Autumn garner to the end of time."  Robert Browning

A nice thought but probably wrong for our own planet. In about 5 billion years our sun will run out of its fuel, hydrogen, and will expand to consume our Earth. Doubtless, however, there are innumerable other planets in the Universe circling their own stars and enjoying their own Springs and Autumns. Will they all cease to exist in the far, far distant future? Will time itself end? Difficult questions best left to the physicists!
