A Morning of Mushrooms

H and I went for a stroll over Kelling Heath this morning.  We were delighted by the number of fungi to photograph and identify.  I couldn't resist this Fly Agaric, I love it's 'pixie toadstool' look.  Apparently it used to be used as a fly killer.  When it emerges it's covered in a white veil which breaks into fragments as it grows and these become the white 'spots' on the top.  They can be washed off by the rain however and that's why sometimes they can be found with smooth plain red tops.
I think the extra is a Spotted Tough Shank.
We had to complete the walk in a fine drizzle and of course when we got back to the car park the rain stopped and the sun came out!
