The Before

I love my job at Old Government House. I really do. It's not just about the garden. There are still gems to be discovered. There is an old oak trunk in one of our stores, and I pulled it out today. Seems it came into the donor's family in 1732! It's been given a clean, and hopefully we can find space for it to go on display in the near future. It was used to transport silverware. The felt lined compartments are still there - a bit moth eaten but then that's hardly surprising. The image shows the before shot. It was a bit too dark to get a good shot of the interior.

The extras show the brass name plate and how it looks now it's been cleaned a bit.
