Plant Identification

My wife asked me to identify this shrub chichis growing in. a patch of other shrubs at the back of our garden. I have tried to identify using various plant identification apps but failed to find a match. The leaves look very privet-like but the flowers seem to be different to any I have seen on the net. Any ideas, folks.
