Canary Wharf from Deptford

Went into central London to visit (and shoot some video footage at) an exhibition about the changing face of London - my first work-focused trip into central London since March. After six months away from regular haunts, it was interesting to see what shops had since closed, what construction works had advanced, etc.

My knee seemed OK with the walking around, so, afterwards, having caught a train from Cannon Street, I got off at Deptford and treated myself to a pint and short spell of "pubdesking" at the Dog & Bell before walking home. The photo was taken from the riverside path by an old coaling wharf (once part of Deptford Power Station - now long gone), which today was being used by lots of birds, including three cormorants at the right-hand end. With Canary Wharf in the background, it seemed an apt image to reflect "the changing face of London".
