Bracket fungus

There have been a few bracket blips in the last few days, but the colour in this example is particularly rich so I thought I would add it to the pile.

Better this than relating the conversation I had just had with a friend, who has had too many not quite successful brushes with death lately. I sincerely hope he doesn't have any more, but it did leave me feeling rather down on his behalf.

Norwestie, though, completed her own first woodland outing since nearly dying herself a week ago. She looked really fit too. So that's good. We really thought we had lost her.
