FIGGY's Sporadic Blips

By Figgy

By yon bonnie banks ...

... an' by yon bonnie braes,
Whaur the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond
Whaur me an' my true love will ne-er meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks o' Loch Lomon'

The sun wasn't shining brightly today but the banks were still bonnie in the mist.

Loch Laomainn is a freshwater Scottish loch, lying on the Highland Boundary Fault. It is the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain by surface area at 39 kilometres long and 1.21 kilometres at its widest point. It has a maximum depth of 190 metres and its surface area is 27 sq mi.

The loch contains more than thirty islands, depending on the water level, and one of them, Inchconnachan, is home to a colony of wallabies.
