Poor Ladybug

Catching up o everything I should have done last weekend resulted in picking the beets and puling out the arugala. Much to my surprise lady bugs appear to like arugala ( or whatever eats it maybe) since I found at least 3 on them plants. This one appeared to be infected with something. I had no idea what it was so I looked up ladybug parasites and found that is is a fungus called a laboul. It's a really strange fungus that infects insects but doesn't kill them. And it's actually an STD! It's primarily spread by sex and it turns out ladybugs are pretty promiscuous. I very carefully moved the stem and leaf and placed it off to the side . Better than the compost heap.
