Knocking off time

at the shipyard of John Brown & Company in Clydebank. Brown's was a world famous company building liners such as Aquitania and Lusitania the famous Queens, Mary Elizabeth and QE2 all for the Cunard Company. As well many ships were built during WWs 1 and 2 for the Royal Navy such as HMS Hood.
The red Glasgow Corporation balcony tram on Dumbarton road is heading west to Dalmuir circa 1920s. Until 1927 the Dumbarton Burgh and County Tramways Coy. ran the trams from Dalmuir West to Balloch.
