Shut the Dor

The Lockdown Wildlife List has slowed down quite a lot since the summer, though it still gives occasional additions with the likes of migrating geese passing ahead. Today was a two for one, as I watched a huge Dor Beetle fly in, land clumsily on the lawn, then search out a bit of chicken poo to bury under. They're amazing things, with an electric blue flash at bits, and some orange to compliment that. And along the way he'd picked up a couple of Mesostig parasites, so the total list is up to 140 species.
