Hairst Leaves

Another horrible day, more gales blowing, and rained all day long, again.

Another day working in the museum, and another busy day of visitors.  Mostly been families in, looking for indoor activities during the holidays.  A poor evening, but I have managed a decent walk with Sammy, and didn't get too wet.  Mostly lazy by the fire and telly on.  Big Brian and Madeline popped by to fetch some things out the freezer, with hopes of a new one arriving this week.  Another coronavirus case in Shetland, first in a week.  Sadly this time it has been transmitted here in Shetland, which means it may go viral again.  With travel still coming and going from Shetland, this was bound to happen.  Hopefully we won't see anymore military planes arriving to take away patients.

With the gales blowing, the trees are getting bare, with the leaves falling more and more.  It's not a real problem here, the occasional garden full, or some gathering on roads, but the wind also blows them up the hills or into the seas.  Taken at the top of Houl Road, Scalloway.
