Beats A Fairy

"Chip, chip, chip." Bouuunce, bouuunce, bouuunce. "Chip, chip, chip."

I heard a great spotted woodpecker, then watched it fly in a series of bounces to the top of a Christmas tree on the bank of our neighbour's lake. Sorry about using the 'C' word. :)
