Fixed

Maybe this isn't the most exciting image in the world, but it was the only possible blip today. I had a wee chat with yet another call centre phone answerer this morning and soon discovered that yesterday's dramatic pronouncements of interwebular doom were completely wrong. There was no six-week local outage after all - my ageing modem had simply given up the proverbial ghost and gone up to the great streaming video showroom in the sky. A laid-back engineer called Jon tootled up in his white van this afternoon and took precisely 20 minutes to install a new modem....complete with pleasingly blinky blue and green lights! What good, after all, is a piece of high technology without a built-in light show!?
So that's that. Meanwhile, I have only been partially successful at not stressing about work :/
