Fireplace envy

We live in a modern house with no fireplace and I always envy those who have an open fire or a log burner. It wasn’t quite cold enough tonight to need the fire lit in the pub.
After three days off work with the hubby we went out for a belated birthday meal this evening before going back to work tomorrow. Our favourite local pub, it feels clean and safe, the food is delicious and tonight was also quiz night ( we didn’t come last).
