The thing I love about citrus trees is that they have fruit and blossom at the same time.
The possums are steadily working their way through this year’s crop of mandarins. I noticed today that the tree is already producing the blossom for next year’s crop. So the possums will be well provided for.
Actually we don’t mind the possums eating the mandarins, as they are rather dry and tasteless (the mandarins, not the possums). Most importantly, the mandarins distract the possums from eating the roses and the pansies. So enjoy your breakfast, possums!
