Boot Hill Hearse

Went to the Tucson Rodeo today and shot 265 wonderful action photos of Bronco Busting, Team Roping, Barrel Riding, and Bull Riding but this is the most interesting shot of the day.

Hank is the Owner Operator of the Boot Hill Hearse Company of Vail, Arizona. The hearse is a very fancy vehicle with glass sides pulled by a three wheeled Harley Davidson Road King with a fifth wheel hitch. It has capacity for a full size casket. When asked if he built the hearse, Hank said simply, "We provide a Service".

Target customers are lifelong motorcyclists that wish for "The Last Ride", motto of the Boot Hill Hearse Company. Their brochure states "Shake the Ground One More Time"

Reminds me of an old story about the owner of a Cadillac that loved his car so much that he wanted to be buried in the vehicle. When the time came for him to be laid to rest he was placed seated upright with his hands on the steering wheel. As the Eldorado was being lowered with ropes by 18 burly weightlifters into the huge grave, a friend was heard to remark, 'Man, thats livin' ".

In the meantime I will sort through some 260 rodeo photos. It was part of a workshop sponsored by Canon.
