A day in the life

Summer's inside

Some of the summer furniture has been removed from the outside and put indoors for the winter. I still kept the garden table and a chair out because of the temporarily mild weather that makes me think I'm going to sit outside a few times more this season. We've had fifteen (15) degrees warmth today, unusual for this time of year, but lovely to be in.

Otherwise the big news of today is that the recommendation for our elders, over 70 and older, to stay in isolation in their homes, has been lifted. It's been going on since March and has been a heavy burden for them to put up with. The age groups over 70 lost their right to decide over their lives but are now finally made equal to everyone else and allowed to use their own common sense. Some of them said it felt like regaining human value.

Also the size of audiences has been raised from 50 to 300 in arenas where you can sit down in fixed chairs. In practice it's not a huge difference since the normal distance rules are still active. In our theatre that can take 317 people, we can only use  90 to 140 seats depending on if it's single seats or if it's a group that can sit together. Corona infections are slowly going up though so everything can change back again if we don't take it seriously and keep our distance.

Take care everyone.
