End of an era?

Funeral today of our friend’s mother. During the past 10 years C has been our regular visitor coming up from Surrey every 5 or 6 weeks and staying with us for one or two nights while he visited his Mum firstly in a retirement apartment and latterly in a care home . Obviously he’s not been able to do that since lockdown and we’ve missed his visits. We won’t see so much of him in the future but will still keep in touch. He and B have been friends since school days.
