Mushroom Hunt

Went for a 4-hour-walk in the woods and fields with my friend Isa. It was meant to be primarily a walk, but we had brought little baskets in case we found mushrooms. And there were hundreds!

Mostly shaggy inkcaps (first extra) and parasols, which we left alone. Some were big as dinner plates, but tough and also a bit soggy from yesterday's rain.

We picked some wood mushrooms, wood blewits and the cauliflower fungus in the second extra.

I am knackered now. Looking forward to a bowl of P's pumpkin soup - and then bed.
