Joan's Piece

Today's GMT walk: Stanton Low park and Joan's Piece, Bradwell, Milton Keynes.
Our first time through Joan's Piece. It's a woods planted by the Woodland Trust on an old landfill site, high above Bradwell Lake; it's now owned by the MK Parks Trust. It's a charming, wild, unexploited spot, with just one path through it, starting and ending on the canal towpath. I haven't been able to find out who Joan is or was!

We saw three Starship delivery robots on the way from Stanton Low back to Wolverton: they're really getting about now! We were wondering whether they stop and chat if they meet each other.
