The view from the Winslow railway bridge

Winslow, a small town in north Buckinghamshire used to have a railway. The Buckinghamshire Railway opened on 1 May 1850 as part of its line from Banbury to Bletchley. The line was worked from the outset by the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) which absorbed the Buckinghamshire Railway in 1879.

The line has been closed since 1993.          .

The blip shows the derelict state of the old track bed looking east from the railway bridge.

A new organisation, East  West Rail are reinstating the route from Oxford to Cambridge.

The view looking west from the bridge is the extra shot.
