Keeping an Eye Out

Another day largely spent in the garden. Shrubs were pruned, a gentle cut of the grass and the plants in pots were returned to the relaid patio. The Red Kites seemed to taken a very keen interest in proceedings so the camera was grabbed for a few more photos, they were looking great in the lunchtime sunshine.

With the sunset so early after the clock change, activity moved inside late afternoon as we switched focus to the loft. Some new boards were laid which will help create working space as we tackle what has become a bit of a dumping ground (I doubt we're alone in that problem).

We heard a bit of rain overnight but we were excited to find we'd already collected enough water in the new water butt (see yesterday's blip) to turn on the tap and have rainwater.
