North Porch

It was a bright sunny morning as we rapidly packed up and departed from our property.  Its been an unusual experience staying for four nights in an old Cotswold property complete with an Aga.  Some interesting cooking experiences and some very warm rooms.  We headed to Burford in the sunshine and wandered around the picturesque village.  Next we headed to Stow on the Wold arriving in a heavy downpour.  We ate our lunch in the car and eventually the rain stopped and we wandered around the many scenic streets.  The oldest pub was spotted, the stocks viewed and the market square approached from several side streets.  We headed for St Edward's Church where the North Porch is flanked by a pair of ancient Yew Trees, a popular photographic spot.

Its been a very welcome short holiday and also good to see more of our grandson.
