Hobbs's Run

Leap

Ahem! It is absolutely essential to play Picnic at Hanging Rock while viewing this.

It has been liberally raining at Blackheath for several days. Not exactly "torrential" but definitely "steady". Anyway, I arrived at Govetts Leap Lookout about an hour before dusk. I was totally alone, wisps of mist and drizzle wafted about and I could figuratively hear strains of "Hanging Rock" drifting across from the waterfall, above the distant roar. It was cold.

The blip features the actual "leap" of course. I have cheated by running the pic through "haze removal" but there are two SOOC images in extras to give you a more realistic impression of the moment, including the full 500ft watery plunge into the Grose Valley.
