Notes to focus

my mind on the task in hand......which in this case is decorating!!

My afternoon consisted of making notes of various paint colours and wallpaper for a makeover of our bedroom, lounge and dining room, post the new windows and shutters!

The blind/shutter company that had been recommended to us let us down big time this. morning! After visiting their shop, then making arrangements via their factory for someone to come today between 11-12 to measure & discuss our options etc....we waiting until 12.45, having called and emailled inbetween, we gave up and went out for some lunch. As you can imagine we were less than impressed!!

We drove into town, it has chucked it down pretty much all day. Called for a paper and a couple of bits before heading to Reds for some lunch. A new option on the menu, we tried and enjoyed :-) The bad news is the new owner makes her own cakes.....my fav today, carrot cake, we shared a piece, sadly it was gorgeous, not good news for my SW!!!! Still not behaving myself :-(

We had a late easy dinner tonight, just a chicken & chorizo pasta dish.....watched the first It takes two on BBC2, a sure sign the dark nights have arrived :-/ do not like it already!

More tv tonight, again, caught up on the second of this weeks The Bridge, really enjoying it, even second time around, so good!
Both the new dramas tonight, The Sister and The Undoing look interesting.

Both felt better today, hubs cough definately improving although he still feels as though hes got a chill,of sorts :-/

Rain all week juding by the forecast :-(
