Day 218 Out of focus

The theme for today's Mono Monday challenge is 'unfocussed'  and like many of us I've found it quite challenging to deliberately take an out of focus picture, while it seems to happen so easily when I want sharp focus.
I've settled for the rain spattered window with the garden beyond being the out of focus part.  I did begin with colour and used the Nik collection Silver Efex Pro to obtain the mono.  This still looked a bit boring, so in Picasa I gave it a Cinemascope effect.  It still didn't look all that interesting so I went back to PS Elements and added a black cat from the graphics collection.  It is after all the week leading up to Halloween.

We have Violet most days this week as it is Half Term and she is very excited to help decorate the house.  Sadly she won't be here on Saturday (daddy's weekend) but we'll make Friday night our special night.  In our street a Halloween scavenger hunt is being organised, where willing households will place a Halloween themed picture in the window: children can go out safely with just their household/parents and tick off items as they spot them on their Halloween Hunt sheets.  Sweet treats can be provided by the parents themselves.  So we are making an extra special effort to decorate the front of the house for the enjoyment of anyone walking by.
We had a family outing to the supermarket today, where they are selling sets of Lego at excellent prices.  Of course a box went into the trolley, along with all the 'essentials'.  I'm not sure of the exact reasoning for the ban on on the sale of 'non essentials' in Wales, but I can safely say that we spent less time choosing the Lego than we did a selection of cold meats!

Many thanks to 60plus for hosting MM this month.
