Fungi

A very wet day.
I spotted these fungi as I got out of the car yesterday.
They always appear by next door’s fence.
At 4pm the rain stopped, and I managed to photograph them before they turn black and slimy.

Tried a new recipe for a marmalade cake.
An unusual recipe which doesn’t have any eggs, but includes a spoonful of white vinegar.
It tastes OK, but very crumbly. Don’t think I will make it again.

Interesting to learn that during this pandemic sales of books have gone up, especially cookery books.
Also a company in East Yorkshire, which manufactures caravans, have had the biggest increase in orders for 75 years.
So not all bad news.

Tonight Autumn Watch is coming from Old Moor RSPB Reserve near Barnsley.
Something to look forward to.
