A Friend in Need

Had a call today to rescue my good friend.
He had been in hospital for an operation under general anaesthetic and needed someone to collect him and then stay with him for 24 hours. I was taking my elderly mum out for a nice lunch when the call came so plans were thrown into disarray.
Managed to fit everything in and get to him before the deadline so all was well in the end.
