Fences make good neighbours??

The county has been after us for years because our church building is a little too close to the highway. Never mind that we were there 125 years ago when the road was only a dirt path.

Now because we bought some neighboring land for possible future building growth, the county won’t give us permission unless we build a big fence in front of the church.

Sigh….

So the farmers came today to put up a fence in front of the church and shut off traffic from accessing us there. It will be a learning curve for many in the community who usually hit the parking lot at a good clip. We put some warning signs up so I hope they will be safe.

The price of progress I presume?
