A Meandering Life...

On Golden Drive

Most afternoons, just before 4 pm, the sun reveals itself to our front garden. Our house faces north, which is great for the rear garden but during the darker months, the front lawn is in shade most of the day. I'm guessing this is why the two flower beds have alpines and conifers planted.

The flowering shrubs on the other side of our drive do get the sun most of the day (cloud dependant...) but it is at this time of the day the whole front comes alive with golden colour.

It is hard to photograph but the golden glow on the trees and shrubs is wonderful. Some days the sky is dark slate grey which makes it stand out even more.

It is little things like this that don't appear on estate agents brochures and are definitely a bonus when you discover them.
