Diapheromera Femorata

Or - in ordinary English - a Northern Walkingstick. Or Common Walkingstick. One of the most charming of insects, if you ask me. This one is a male. It's body is about 3 inches long, not counting antennae and legs, the first pair of which it often holds straight out in front of it making it more like 5 inches long!
