NZ Dairy Scene

Throughout NZ at this time of the year you see scenes like this . Farmers buy the calves off the dairy farms and either rear them for replacements or for beef.  NZ used to be mainly sheep but not any more, economically i guess its better that way but not the way i like it.
I have had a very different day at 8am this morning I met Rainie and a friend of ours from the North Island for breakfast. He was passing through on his way south so it was a good chance for a catch up. I certainly am not used to going out for breakfast so was a pleasant change
This afternoon was gardening. Put in main crop potatoes and a courgette and weeded the carrots, was well pleased with myself.
