Scotland trip day 7.

Woohoo we woke up to sunshine this morning, so after breakfast we decided to visit the small town of Callander which is situated on the river Teith.

On our way we passed the impressive Wallace monument standing on  a hilltop overlooking Stirling. Back in the car we head on to our next stop the Bracklinn falls, parking the car we cross the road and walk through a beautiful woodland, carpeted with fallen beech leaves and reach the falls - they were seriously impressive after all the rain. We crossed over the Keltie water via a 20 metre footbridge, on our return we saw this amazing fungi growing on a tree, think it’s maybe a birch polypore or bracket fungi.

After completing the walk to the falls we carry on into Callander, the river Teith had burst its banks and had overflowed onto the car park, so no chance of sitting on the benches. As we walk into town we see the impressive spire of St Kessogs Church which was built in 1883 replacing an earlier church of 1773, sadly it ceased to be a church in 1985 and is now the tourist information centre.
On our way back to the car we passed this mother and daughter outside a cafe.
My main blip was a view into retro clothing shop.

 Tomorrow we continue our adventure.
