Preying Mantis Chrysalis

I noticed a strange lump stuck on our wheelbarrow's tire as we were mulching our flower beds today.  
Kathy recognized it immediately as a preying mantis chrysalis.  
We will keep the chrysalis cold over the winter and hatch it out next spring...
