Eveleigh Locomotive Workshops

The nineteenth-century locomotive workshops at Eveleigh cover a huge area, but they haven’t been in use for 30 years and are now being redeveloped for creative and retail use. One aircraft hangar-sized space already has a gym, its corridor decorated with images and quotes (extra) from the general strike of 1917 that started with railway and tram workers. They form a strange juxtaposition with the gym’s motivational quotes.

The former blacksmiths’ workshop is slated for retail.
