Life through the lens...

By ValC

Soon for the chop.

Unfortunately this weeping ash tree won’t be here much longer as out neighbours have got permission to have it felled.
It has gradually been decaying and the worry is that a gale will bring some of the rotten branches down.
We will miss it, as will the squirrels who I think have a home inside one of the hollow branches.
It has also provided me with some interesting blips over the years including woodpeckers, fungi, and of course squirrels.
If it was my garden I would plant another tree, but I doubt they are going to.

A better day than we expected.
Had a nice chat with Jennie who is at Uni in Sheffield.
They are being very sensible and not mixing with anyone outside their house “ bubble”.

Two people we know are having to self isolate because they have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid 19.
Fortunately have only spoken to them on the phone. Still it is worrying.

So take care and stay safe everyone.
Together we can beat this.
