Have Camera Will Travel

Oh no not another mushroom,

This is no ordinary fungi this is a  Calocera Viscose, commonly called Yellow Stagshorn.
Anyway that’s enough about fungi.

Scotland trip day 9.
     The Falls of Bruar.

Our home for the next week (if we don’t get kicked out) is Blair Atholl in Perthshire.

The forecast today was some sun and showers. A good day for a walk and see a waterfall, so off went.

The walk starts behind the House of Bruar, (dubbed the Harrods of the North)

We take the trail which takes you under a rail bridge and hike for about 20 mins until we reach a view point and our first glimpse of the lower falls. A few minutes later we arrive at a stone bridge overlooking the cascading water of the middle falls. Carrying on from here we head upwards and after 40mins or so we reach a bench ( no photo) where we sit and admire the upper falls. From here we should cross a small bridge and continue the loop, but due to all the rain the path over the bridge was under water, so we headed back the way we came.

Just time for a photo shoot on the ledge overlooking the middle falls before returning to the House of Bruar.

Quick stop to buy some chocolate then back to the car and home.

Just sampling the chocolate as we speak.
