as he spotted a cormorant on the gate ahead as walked along a newly cleaned out dyke. You can just make the cormorant out if you look closely. A very blustery but sunny day for our walk this afternoon. The dykes have all been cleaned out and the reeds cut back so they are all looking very pristine at the moment. We saw curlew, egret, cormorant, Brent geese, redshanks and dunlins.
